Birkdale is the only school in Sheffield which combines an exclusive focus on boys aged 4 to 16 years with a thriving co-educational Sixth Form.

Described as "happy and successful" the Prep School provides an environment geared to the enthusiasm and energy of boys. Small class sizes and specialist subject teaching provide the variety and structure boys need.
At the Senior School pupils gain some of the best exam results in the region. We also offer a huge range of sporting, music and other cultural opportunities while our extensive outdoor pursuits programme teaches life skills and builds leadership.
Developed around a number of fine Victorian buildings on two sites, one for the Prep School, the other for the Senior School, Birkdale welcomes pupils from across South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire and North Nottinghamshire, with dedicated bus services from outlying areas.
